    Forward Stocking Locations Technology Solutions

    All our FSL’s contain state of the art general purpose warehouse equipment such as shelving, racking, locked cages and warehouse trucks. In addition, they are equipped with all the technology needed to support our TRACE WMS, including relevant computer hard and software, which is tested regularly and supported by a disaster recovery programme.

    Each location has appropriate Health and Safety, lighting, fire & security & lifting equipment to support a fast-paced spare parts logistics warehouse operation.

    Locations are fully covered with CCTV and security alarms.

    Any particular training requirements, such as PCI handling will be a separate bespoke training programme for key workers.

    Parts are either stored within shelving/racking configuration or pallets depending on the requirement of the customer.

    Each area will be individually listed within TRACE as bin/pallet locations.

    In order to improve our client’s turnaround times and minimise inventory holding, TVS SCS uses it’s trunking infrastructure to collect parts directly from client repairers and deliver directly to client engineers and FSL’s / Pudo’s; similarly, this operates in reverse whereby defective parts can be delivered directly to repairers – TVS SCS collects from many of the UK’s Tier 1 and Tier 2 repairers for its existing client base.

    The FSL’s all operate on a 24-hour call-out basis, with some key sites manned on a 24 hr basis.

    TVS SCS operates one of largest Same Day Courier fleets in the UK with small vans and LWB vehicles being readily available at each FSL.

    This means that when the same day pick is requested, a courier is pre-allocated to the job as the part is being picked ensuring a pick SLA of 30 minutes. Furthermore, a final mile courier ETA is provided, and all pick and ETA performance as a key part of the reporting.

    Our courier despatch system provides real-time, street-level tracking accessible online. Users can also set automatic notifications to be sent to the requestor, booker and recipient at key points throughout the journey, thereby minimising the time traditionally required to check the courier’s location with the supplier.
