TVS SCS Support LEVC with New Warehouse in Germany
Earlier this year, TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) signed a 5-year contract with the leading manufacturer of commercial passenger and cargo transport electric vehicles, London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC).
TVS SCS is the sole distributor of LEVC’s aftermarket spare parts for the older Diesel taxi, new TX electric Taxi and LEVC’s latest VN5 Electric Van, to their global network of dealers and will now be supplying parts to their first Forward Stocking Location (FSL) which has opened in Eisenach, Germany.
LEVC has growth ambitions in Europe, and the strategic location of this FSL will support their 14 European dealers in mainland Europe, with reduced lead times. Products to be stocked will include fast-moving items such as filters, glass, roofs and further down the line hard to ship items.
The LEVC dealers will now have the opportunity to purchase parts from the 2 warehouse locations- one in the UK and one in Germany, fulfilling their parts requirements through the use of the LEVC online ordering portal with TVS SCS, providing excellent availability to their network.
Caroline Watson, TVS SCS Commercial Development Director, commented:
“LEVC is growing from strength to strength and realising their growth ambitions. We are pleased that we have been able to support them with this new facility at Eisenach and we are working closely with them to increase the number of product lines in the forthcoming months”.
Joerg Hofmann, CEO of LEVC, commented:
“We are growing our dealer network across all of Europe and this new deal with TVS SCS will play a key role in facilitating this rapid expansion. The new facility in Eisenach will ensure short parts delivery lead times of 24 hours underlining LEVC’s focus to achieve first-class service for our distribution partners and customers across Europe.”
This new strategic partnership supports LEVC’s significant 2021 European market growth plan and the introduction of the VN5 electric van into Europe this Spring. LEVC is continually expanding with an ever-growing dealer network across the UK and Europe with the aim to cover 21 markets by the end of 2021.
Watson adds: “This is an exciting time for LEVC and we are pleased that we are able to support this growth phase and look forward to developments in 2021”.
