Sukumar is a seasoned industry professional with over 31 years of experience across multiple industrial sectors and functions. His experience includes roles in strategy, business management, marketing, and sales functions across Logistics, Telecom, Automobile, and Steel sectors. Before joining TVS SCS, he was the Managing Director, India Operations for FedEx Express, where he was responsible for pan-India customer-facing operations for the domestic and international products as well as overseeing the warehousing and supply chain business. Before an 8-year stint at FedEx, he was the CEO at AFL Private Limited. Sukumar has done pioneering work in developing logistics solutions for e-commerce firms, including working on fulfilment options like Cash on Delivery and alternate payment options like Credit cards. He takes a keen interest in the areas of Total Quality Management and was a certified ISO 9000 Internal Assessor and Trainer in the Phil Crosby Zero Defect Management system. He is a B. Tech graduate from IIT Madras and holds a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad. He has also completed a leadership program with the Ross School of Management, University of Michigan.
