Job Overview
Purpose:
As a pivotal part of the Technical Services operations team and the key interface between TVS SCS allocation teams and PAYE engineers and engineer suppliers, the Regional Field manager will be responsible for all activities listed below
1) Field engineer Line management
2) Manage Field engineer compliance and help reduce costs
3) Support Deskside & Projects on backfill resource
4) Lead Field contact for key accounts
5) Recruitment across the respective Field region / operation
6) Support and help drive compliance across the technical services operation
In addition, this key role will work on ad hoc projects to identify efficiencies, drive compliance and lower cost across the Technical Services business in the UK
Position(s) supervised.
Direct. The Field operations manager will be responsible for the line management of Field engineers in the UK operational management will be completed by the respective end client.

Job Responsibilities
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
In your role as Field Regional Manager, you will be expected to;
- Ensure line management of staff is in line with Client site expectations and performance requirements
- Engage with Deskside Ops & Projects to ensure sufficient backfill in place if required.
- Owner of the recruitment process for a field perspective from selection to induction ensuring the required skills in the region to achieve service levels
- Help TVS SCS Tech drive Service through engineer compliance management covering performance, service improvements, service quality, billing and change
- Drive improvements in the regional allocation teams through smart allocation
- Work closely with the account teams and Tech support to help maximise revenue on the Field accounts
- Ensure suppliers are delivering the required levels of service
- Work within all of technical operations engineering environment in driving compliance
Key Relationships
Close working relationships within the Technical Services operational teams and as described above you must have the ability to manage remote teams across multiple client sites. You will also be expected to work closely with the TVS SCS Technical team and support deskside and project teams, when required. Clearly the most import relationships you will have will be with your direct reports and you should have extensive and demonstrable experience in building and managing high performing teams, with the ability to communicate at both a senior and operational level in IT Outsourcing and/or IT Managed Service clients.
Qualifications and Skills
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Experienced of managing engineers
- Demonstrable experience in delivering and delighting customers in the delivery of IT Managed Services
- Experience in driving engineer compliance
- Excellent customer facing/customer service skills
- Proven ability to build and drive service through KPI’s
- A passion for delivering world class service
- Demonstrable experience in managing remote workers
- knowledge of ITIL disciplines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to support and mentor junior staff
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills, self-motivating and able to take responsibility
- Able to manage and prioritise and tasks and time efficiently
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft office suite
- Experience in managing a financial P&L
