Job Overview

This person will be responsible for the commercial accounting of numerous clients within the Smart Metering, Beverage & Automotive industries.  They will also provide finance business partnering support, as well as reporting and analysis for internal and external purposes. In addition, they will be expected to provide support to the Account Management team when fulfilling the contracted services for those clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the preparation of client information for internal and external reporting purposes, covering the following:
  • Calculation of fees and production of client statements
  • Preparation of all supporting reports and data
  • Weekly reporting requirements
  • Other ad hoc analysis as required
• Preparation of all monthly management accounts elements relating to these clients
• Production of commercial modelling for forecasts and annual budgets
• Scenario modelling and costing for contract renewals, extensions, additional scope of work
• Working alongside the Account Management teams and Senior Leadership teams in provision of the contracted services
  • Requires detailed knowledge of the client contracts
  • Work closely with Account Manager to remain aware of all activity and ensure all billable work is identified and invoiced
  • Identify opportunities to maximise profitability
  • Attendance at contract review meetings as required
• Supporting quarterly and year end external audits, and internal control audits
• Continuously seek out process improvements

Qualifications and Skills

• Newly qualified CIMA/ACCA or in the final year of studying towards CIMA/ACCA qualifications
• Experience of working within a busy finance department in a similar role with a client focus
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with high level of attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate & present financial information or issues to both finance & non-finance professionals
• Organised and flexible approach to work, and able to work well under pressure
• Strong Excel skills
