The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and the Environment has issued an information note on the increase in export refunds due to the fact that wood packaging or pallets do not comply with the international phytosanitary standard ISPM15.

We remind you that it is essential that the ISPM15 mark be present on all the wood packaging that makes up the shipment. This mark guarantees that the packaging complies with the phytosanitary standard and that it has been properly treated. The following must be clearly and visibly marked on the marking:

Symbol in the form of a spike: to the left of the other elements. Country code according to the International Organization for Standardization ISO (XX) Producer/provider code of treatment (000) Treatment code: HT, DH or MB (YY)

It is of vital importance to choose approved suppliers for packaging for export, they are fully aware of the standard and supply the packaging with the correctly placed and visible markings and the corresponding certificates, thus avoiding export refunds for non-compliance with the requirements.
