Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Manager to lead our UAT team and ensure that our software products meet the highest quality standards before release. The UAT Manager will be responsible for developing and executing testing strategies, coordinating testing activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience and satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Test Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive UAT strategies that align with project goals and user requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of UAT testers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, developers, and business analysts to define test criteria and ensure alignment with user needs.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Develop UAT plans, including test scenarios and cases, and oversee their execution to validate software functionality against requirements.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects; work with development teams to facilitate resolution and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Provide regular updates and reports on UAT progress, findings, and metrics to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance UAT processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • User Training and Support: Assist in training end-users on new systems and features, ensuring they are equipped to provide feedback during UAT.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a focus on user acceptance testing.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Familiarity with automation testing tools and techniques.
  • Confident and proactive
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office suite and IT competent
  • Presentation skills using appropriate media
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to work in a team and independently
  • Desirable – Educated to degree level or equivalent

Desirable – Experience of creating process maps/ process flow diagrams (ideally using Microsoft Visio)
