Job Overview

To ensure all MOD Patterns are maintained, audited, booked in and out and disposed correctly and keep diligent records.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with set up and bookings for the viewing room, meetings and providing patterns as required.
  • Update stand-alone pattern room access database system with regards to pattern locations and records.
  • Sealing and resealing of patterns using stand-alone label equipment to produce identity labels.
  • Complete issue vouchers for any stock leaving the Pattern Rooms, updating the database with relevant information.
  • Receipt items, book them in giving item a brief examination, then liaise with relevant technical officer for inspection check prior to placing the item back into stock.
  • Packing of issued items and trials stock using the postal area.
  • Assistance with disposal of stock, listing and packing items before storing them.
  • Carry out stock and audit checks to verify pattern holdings.

Assist in the process of photography of patterns for descriptive purposes only.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Able to work as part a small team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite, in particular excel and access.
