Job Overview

The role of the Resource Co-ordinator is to support Consultancy Services through the resourcing and onboarding process for both new and existing candidates within our consultancy talent pools. This starts with sourcing; we have recruiters to source candidates and the role of the Resource Co-ordinator is to support these candidates through their selection and onboarding journey, including security considerations, creating compelling CVS and keeping in constant contact throughout the process.

 

Once a successful candidate is placed, they become colleagues who will require support with all kinds of personal administration to ensure they can perform their tasks without hinderance. This role will help with managing and supporting timesheet, billing and invoicing processes, signposting to policies and other support tasks. Reporting to the Resource Manager this role ensures our colleagues are properly supported and have someone to reach back to when required.

Job Responsibilities

Framework Task Management

  • Progress candidates through the selection process by supporting the function in determining their skills, behaviours and technical ability and translating this into proposal CVs to showcase their ability
  • Support the re-deployment of existing deployed Colleagues/Consultants throughout the consultancy framework as above, updating and developing their proposal CVs.
  • Create an ongoing dialogue with but new and existing consultants through regular contact by Phone, Email, Text and Teams or other suitable communication methods
  • Update and maintain accurate candidate records on the internal Applicant Tracking System
  • Support the successful colleagues into roles ensuring all administration is done in a timely manner according to the framework demands
  • Prepare timely submissions of candidates to relevant frameworks
  • Attend internal and external meetings, making notes and where necessary briefing management or customers on the content of those meetings
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the consultancy service and its value proposition

 

General

  • Brief the consultancy services management team as necessary with regards to the current resource pool status
  • To work collaboratively with the team and the wider TVS business
  • To participate and seek continuous improvement initiatives and present these for consideration
  • To be prepared to travel in support of consultancy services activities and recruiting events. This could include overnight trips in the UK

Qualifications and Skills

Educated to A Level or equivalent

Previous experience in a role that required the resource management of a pool of existing or prospective candidates and/or employees. With responsibility for one or more of:

  • Deployment
  • Engagement
  • Utilisation
  • Tracking time & attendance, including sickness or absence

The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills

You will be an efficient administrator responsible for maintaining records and files with a high degree of accuracy

Self-starter with a demonstrable can-do attitude

Have the gravitas to brief the customer, and colleagues with good and poor feedback as necessary

Consultancy Services support a number of frameworks in Defence Industry so previous experience as a serving member of the armed forces is highly beneficial but not essential. This role would suit an Senior Non-commissioned Officer who has a passion for supporting people carrying out the tasks, but this not essential.
