Job Description
Job Overview
Supporting the inventory team and wider supply chain team in ensuring the circa 18,000 different stock lines for the business are running at optimal levels and ensuring that service levels are met, and that the correct items are stocked.
Job Responsibilities
- Continuous improvement on the inventory system configuration to align and support demand forecasting and the stock holding policy
- Monitoring demand and analysing data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs
- Proactively assist in monitoring of stock levels to manage and minimize the risk of running out of all critical parts
- Completion of reconciliations of volumes and values.
- Reporting on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency, and personnel issues to senior management
- Look for ways to incorporate new processes into supply chain forecasting to ensure minimal manual intervention
- Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to assist in the fulfilment of business requirements
- Inventory status reporting for products and components to ensure they are maintained to the correct status, highlighting any overstocks and obsolescence.
- Contribute to ideas on strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures
- Positively contribute to the successful transition to new systems and locations
Qualifications and Skills
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
- Experience in dealing with large volumes of data
- Well-organised with attention to detail, whilst also being able to see the wider picture and impact on other parts of the supply chain
- Curious mindset, and skillset to investigate and resolve problems
- Mathematical and logical mindset with the ability to navigate systems, extract, analyse and interpret data
- Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels to resolve queries and manage expectations
- Confident in learning new systems and processes

- Attention to detail for good housekeeping for data protection and information security requirements
Desirable
- Experience in using any of the following systems: Syncron/MSYS/SAP
