Job Overview

To support both the commercial accounting functions in the completion of daily and weekly tasks, as well as with the preparation of monthly management accounts, in support of some major defence accounts for TVS.

Job Responsibilities

  • Journal processing; preparing journals and inputting into the system
  • Processing expense claims
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with month end processes
  • Sales ledger support as required
  • Purchase ledger support as required
  • Additional support to clients/account managers (internal and external)
  • Supporting internal audit processes

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educated to A Level or equivalent, preferably in Business, Accountancy or Maths based subjects.
  • Good Excel skills ideally with the ability to use VLOOKUPS, Pivot tables and SUMIF formulas, however training and development will be provided to intermediate Excel users.
  • Attention to detail
  • High level of numeracy
  • Organised and methodical in your approach
  • This role would ideally suit recent College leavers, applicants from a purchase ledger background or someone at home with manipulating data in Excel and completing highly detailed tasks.

Where we are:

 

Our head office is based at a purpose built distribution facility on Buckshaw Village in Chorley with excellent transport links to the M61 and M6 plus a mainline train station less than a mile away. The office has on site parking, shower facilities for those who brave the elements on a bike or on foot and a subsidised canteen.

We are currently operating on a hybrid working basis, there will however be a period of time at the start of your employment spent fully working in our office, familiarising yourself with our systems and processes.
