Job Overview

We are looking for a professional experienced BDM that will be focused on finding new business opportunities and new markets. The BDM’s job will be primarily to identify new potential markets and customers, develop new wins and new business and revenue streams and support and manage our proposition.

TVS SCS is a global channel services provider delivering a wide range of supply chain services, mainly in the IT, automotive, utilities and pharmaceutical sectors. This role sits within our Spare Parts Logistics business and is developing and delivering new business opportunities for the delivery of warehousing, distribution of spares parts for across Europe. Clients are generally manufacturers or service providers with either an engineering workforce or have a requirement to hold and distribute spares parts to places such as car dealerships.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a network of prospects and contacts to enhance awareness and reputation of TVS and influence future opportunities
  • Identify opportunities, either through advertised Tender process or through the relationship management above to create a healthy new business pipeline
  • Proposition: Write and present compelling bid responses that ‘sell’ the solution and our business to the client.
  • Close new business deals as part of a target bearing role.
  • Sales opportunities must be taken through the sales stages on Salesforce from initial prospect to business start.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Identify new opportunities of potential clients that require the services we provide and create compelling sales proposals based upon our core competencies.
  • Prospecting and creating a pipeline of opportunities is a key requirement (individual opportunity value is typically between £100k to £2m.
  • Deliver pre-set revenue and margin targets on a quarterly basis.
  • Great people skills are required as you will work with external clients and internal stakeholders to negotiate contracts to conclusion within the deadline for contract start.
  • Must be a hunter as this role is to drive new business sales.
  • Create and deliver compelling proposals in PowerPoint and written submission (respond to RFI & RFP). Candidate must showcase the company’s capabilities and demonstrate how they meet clients’ needs.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work autonomously to win business.
  • Experience: Must have sold engineer-based services such as brake fix, deployment, upgrades, projects for client devices and EPOS hardware 9. Candidates must have demo.
