Job Overview

This is a development and client support role that will be tailored to the individual.

The purpose of the role is to support the day-to-day running of customer accounts ensuring great customer service is provided and service excellence is delivered.

The candidate would be expected to be a quick learner, challenge the effectiveness of business processes which underpin performance, contribute to continuous improvement projects, participate in customer meetings, respond to customer queries and drive value for TVS and performance for the client.

This is not a sales position. It is about providing service, understanding processes and supporting the client

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Build strong relationships with the client.
  • Support the Account Manager to ensure contract performance KPI’s and inspirational service is delivered
  • Work with the Account Manager to ensure contracted profit and revenue targets are achieved
  • Identify and suggest continuous improvement ideas and cost-down opportunities to the Account Manager
  • To support the Account Manager in reviewing the effectiveness of KPI’s and performance measurement of the contracts
  • Support the Account Manager in preparing and delivering monthly & quarterly client meetings
  • Suggest flexible & innovative solutions to the client’s operational issues
  • Build and maintain relationships with all key internal stakeholders within TVS SCS
  • Identify growth opportunities and solutions for both the Client and TVS SCS
  • Maintain reports in the form of management reports and operational review minutes
  • Keep abreast of the client’s issues, industry issues and all related legislative matters, to develop their knowledge and business network
  • Support the Account Manager with any ad-hoc project support

Qualifications and Skills

This role will be ideal for someone looking to develop their skill set within Account Management. An ideal candidate would have the following experience but given this is a development role some gaps are expected.

  • Experience in logistics & supply chain operations
  • Direct first-hand experience of dealing with clients
  • Working in an environment where performance targets must be met
  • Experience of responding to problems, determining causes, developing improvement
  • Commercial and operational background would be of advantage
  • Experience of developing relationships with clients
  • Customer focused with determination to deliver positive outcomes for the client
  • Empathetic and persuasive person
  • Pragmatic and quick to respond to challenges
  • Enthusiastic to create change
  • Goal driven and focused
  • Analytical and numerate with an ability to analyse data and problem solve
  • Ability to think commercially
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ideally the candidate would be educated or able to perform to degree level
