Position: Payroll Analyst
About the Role:
To provide payroll analysis for the business, including detailed analysis for a major contract including forecasting, and to provide support to the payroll function to ensure all monthly payroll reporting obligations & deadlines are met.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Payroll reporting and analysis for to company and its subsidiaries
Provision of payroll analysis, forecasts and budget variances for a major customer for whom we provide services on an open book basis.
Reporting, analysis and variance analysis of temporary & agency labour costs
Reconciliation of payrolls to general ledger accounts
Payroll cash flow forecasting
Providing ad hoc payroll analysis for various customers and to facilitate pricing decisions
Supporting the payroll cost budgeting in the annual business plan
Preparation of various company and subsidiary payrolls to provide cover & support for the Payroll Manager
Deal with payroll queries for colleagues
Maintenance of payroll standing data
Support the P11D, P60 and other compliance processes
Conduct audit checks on payrolls prepared by other colleagues
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent knowledge of end to end payroll processing
Demonstrable experience in providing payroll analysis
Excellent computer skills in particular Excel and other MS Office packages
Excellent and communication skills (both verbal and written), particularly when dealing with customer queries
Attention to detail
Ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
A flexible and adaptable approach to work
Tact and absolute discretion, when dealing with confidential information
Dealing with a large number of employees is beneficial
